A glorious vintage cocktail ring showcasing a spellbinding natural opal cabochon in the centre displaying a mesmerising medley of colours. It weighs approx. 8ct and is claw set in a sizeable gallery haloed by alternating pink rubies and brilliant cut diamonds around the border. 

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind. 

The diamonds are extremely bright with VS1 clarity – H colour. They weigh approx. 0.10ct each, same as the rubies, making a total of approx. 0.90ct of both. They’re all set in a large 18ct gold gallery with split shoulders on either side and London hallmarks within the band, dating to 1990. 

It’s a magnificent statement piece and complete with a faded pink ring box with cream velvet interior, stamped with the insignia of “Thomas Brown” of Liverpool under the lid.
